Physical therapy for back and neck

For people with back or neck pain or stiffness who want to lift, drive and work with more confidence.

First we listen and look at how you move. Then we explain what we find, teach you exercises and, when it helps, use hands-on care. The plan fits your work and your home.

This care is for you if

  • Your back or neck bothers you when you bend, lift or drive

  • You spend long hours on your feet, sitting or lifting at work

  • You have had pain before and want to learn how to take care of yourself

  • Your doctor recommended physical therapy

What we do

We name it without promises: each plan depends on you.

  • Exercises made for you

Movements for the back, neck and core, explained step by step and in writing.

  • Hands-on care

The therapist moves and stretches the area by hand. We tell you before each technique.

  • Habits at work and at home

How to lift, sit, drive and sleep in ways your body tolerates better.

Visits, therapists and paying

  • What decides how many visits you need

How many visits you need depends on what we find, how long you have had the problem, your work and how your body responds. After the first visit we give you an idea and adjust it with you.

  • Who sees you

A licensed physical therapist, and sometimes an assistant working under their direction. On the team page we say which language each person speaks.

  • How it is paid for

With insurance or without: we explain how it works and give you a written estimate before you start.

See your doctor first

Before you come, talk to your doctor:

  • If the pain started with a fall or a hard blow
  • If you have a fever along with the back pain
  • If the pain does not change with rest or with movement
  • Chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with a head injury needs emergency care now. Call 911.

Questions about this service

Do I need an X-ray before I come?

Not always. At the evaluation the therapist decides whether more information is needed and, if so, suggests you talk to your doctor.

Can I keep working?

Often yes. We talk it through at the first visit and suggest how to adjust tasks in the meantime, following your doctor's instructions.
